How to Clean Your Home With Essential Oils


Cleaning your home doesn't have to involve toxic chemicals or expensive products anymore. You can get the same, yet safer effect with essential oils! Check out some of our favorite scents and their amazing antimicrobial properties for your home.

It is important to buy natural essential oils that are organic and pure. Please remember to always dilute your oils with water and mix together, as a little goes a long way when it comes to oil usage. For purposes of cleaning, buy 100% pure essential oils (undiluted) rather than aromatherapy. Check out these recipe ideas that you can make at home!

Floor cleaner - Keep your floors clean and smelling delicious with different oils such as pine, tea tree, and lemon.

Blend: Equal parts lemon, lemongrass, and tea tree essential oil

Carpet stains and deodorizer - Essential oils can be combined with baking soda to create a scented powder for stains and odor.

Blend: 2 parts lavender essential oil, 1 part rosemary essential oil

All purpose cleaner - Citrus is great for dishes and surface cleaning as they smell fresh while also act as a degreaser.

Blend: 4 parts lime essential oil, 2 parts sweet orange essential oil, and 1 part grapefruit essential oil

Stains - Lemon is a great option for removing tough stains, even grease! Simply use lemon oil on the stain and rub!

Bathroom cleaner - A multi-purpose spray that can be used for the bath, shower, and tiles. Tea tree and eucalyptus both have anti fungal and anti bacterial properties and are great for preventing mold in the shower.

Blend: 1 cup white vinegar, 4 teaspoons fragrance free dish soap,10 drops tea tree essential oil, 10 drops eucalyptus essential oil
